Machan Is the Main Character
She carries a Machan doll, and will approach any camera she sees. A particularly strange Umamusume, one of her hobbies is recording voice memos. Her dream is to become a mascot that spans the whole world. Behind her cloud-like fluffy words, it seems there may be a certain desire...?

Aston Machan has short, messy brown hair that reaches a little past her chin which becomes wavier at the ends. Her fringe is cut unevenly with the middle part swept slightly to the left. A portion of her hair is tied back on the left side of her head with a red scrunchie. Her ears are loosely upwards and fades into a dark brown. On the left side of her ear are two heart-shaped checkered earrings with the top one being red and the one below blue. Sitting on the back of her head opposite from her ponytail is an emperor-styled crown with a golden trim and a triangular pattern with charcoal and red colors. Her soft, lime colored eyes are slightly down turned.
Her racing outfit consists of a white dress shirt with red sleeves and black cuffs. On top of that is a tan-colored vest with four black buttons. A black bow rests on her dress shirt collar. Her tan skirt is composed of two layers, with the top being short and gathered and the one below pleated with a red line running around it. On both sides of the upper skirt are red bows that sit below a charcoal colored martingale belt with a golden trim. Above the bows are smaller ones with red and charcoal stripes. Starting from her shoulder, a sash runs down her torso ending with a red bow with a golden trim. It is decorated in occasional golden emblems. Attached to the sash below is a charm. She wears black stockings that cover half of her thigh. Her shoes are white loafer heels with a charcoal colored bow on top.

Aston Machan is a character of the Umamusume franchise, primarily featured in the game Umamusume: Pretty Derby, voiced by Honoka Inoue and based of the real life horse of the same name! As a character she comes off as being soft-spoken and kind-hearted, wishing to remember everyone to the best of her ability and not forgetting even if they aren't apart of your life or life itself anymore. This is in reference to the fact the real life horse died early into her career despite already being grouped with Vodka and Daiwa Scarlet as a part of their crop of fillies' 'big three'. Despite the unfortunate early end to her career, Machan is still remembered in many ways, especially in her Umamusume counterpart.
Though her endeavors in acts of rememberance are not entirely one-sided, her game story covers a great deal of her attempts and determination to be remembered in a way akin to a mascot especially in her signature Machan doll. Later on, it's also shown that she herself is scared of not being remembered as well with this fear being the main reason for her own care of remember others.

I have no clue when I fell in love with Aston Machan. maybe in the winter of 2023. I remember once spending a day being nosey on the Umamusume wiki (when it was still on fandom) and she instantly caught my eye. And I think it's been downhill since. She's just soooooo cute let's all love Machan!!! I loved her so much I watched the entirety of her story's english translation on youtube. its that serious. i neeeeded to know more about her and by god do I know. I can't WAIT until she comes to en. Don't worry Machan, ill make sure you are well remembered in pvp no matter what!!!!
I think i became even more attached to her character as I faced a loss of my own (my dad). Her story helped me to process those feelings and i felt even stronger about her afterward ^_^

- When she was little, she used to play at the hospital her mother worked at.
- She's attached to spy-themed media, especially movies.
- This is a reference to how she is named after Aston Martin, a car brand popularized by the James Bond film franchise.
- Due to her desire to be remembered by others, she tends to "photo-bomb" and make appearances in other peoples' photos. Throughout most of her media appearances, especially in Season 3 of the anime, she is often seen gazing directly into the camera, making her one of the few characters from the series known to break the fourth wall.
- In her SR speed card artwork, the recording time on her phone reads 00:09:30. This is a possible reference to her Sprinters' Stakes victory, which was held on September 30th, 2007.
- She wears a crown because she wants herself to be memorable. The ribbon on her racewear is there because she wants to tie everyone together so that they could remember her.
- Her favorite food is fish and chips, as she ate it with her father when they went to England.
- This is also a possible nod to the James Bond franchise, as the titular character is British.
- Her father is known to be a great driver.
- She is fond of sea creatures, and sees them as potential mascots.
